This is my www.creedthoughts.gov.www/creedthoughts. It’s a kind of personal diary that I am making public for some reason.
The original idea was to make a data plot every so often, as an exercise in data visualization. I would use any openly available data, with no specific subject in mind. Writing actual posts along each figure would be the other half of the exercise, as I’m definitely better at making line plots than at using words. Words are hard.
These are my goals for this project:
- Learn how to set up a (pretty stock, simple) website.
- Find interesting bits of data out in the world.
- Train my data plotting skills, hopefully learning a few new tricks along the way.
- Get better at writing (and train my English).
- Have a hobby that is healthier than doomscrolling, but not quite as healthy as actually studying something or doing something productive.
Every post and all the work put into this site are just for myself, specifically for the self-improvement purposes listed above. That is, I don’t expect anyone else to read it or find any use in what I post. In the event someone ever comes across these words, that’s also fine. I hope you have a great day!
